CELLFRAME

A PoW-based consensus on the main chain and in the shard’s fuel chain called ZeroChain ensures node reward fairness and makes hash rate-based attacks more difficult to perform. Cellframe also uses an ASIC-resistant hashing function, so everyone can use their CPU and GPU resources to participate in the mining process.

The architecture of Cellframe is based on dual-layer sharding. The first layer (the heterogeneous layer) can launch customizable sub-chains and tokens. In the second layer (the homogeneous layer), sub-chains are organized into cells. The plan is to build an ecosystem of services where every app (or dapp) can exchange information with other dapps in a seamless p2p manner due to the project’s robust interoperability features.
